Hello All. Well, i'm looking at my SHTF firearm collection. I Have a Mosin Nagant (1936) as my Long gun/Bolt gun a Mossburg Maverick 88 pump A Ruger 10/22 a AR-15 carbine I built as my home defense/tactical rifle a VEPR in 7.62x54r with a 23" barrel as my super rugged AK/Semi auto long gun. (Also complements the Mosin) A Layman Deer stalker flintlock 50cal muzzleloader But.. I started thinking.. Should I get an Air rifle for long term SHTF? I mean, ya I have a ton of ammo, but what about when that runs dry and I run out of reloading supplies? I mean, I bought the muzzleloader for just that purpose, but what about small game? The way I see it, I can have crap tons of .177 or .22 pellets for dirt cheap as backups to my stock of .22lr Unfortunately I know little of Air rifles. I know some are spring, some air pumped, and some pre charged, but which would be best in a long term SHTF situation?
